Creating teaching resources that are meeting Common Core State Standards,as well as, creating resources that are fun for students is my goal. I think we have to keep students' interest in various ways, and that is why I use paper and pencil skills practice along with using my smartboard and other media. Students should be able to fulfill the "I Cans..." of school work and still use their creative sides. Too much emphasis is placed on just passing the test, that the creative side of students is lost. We, as teachers, should continue to make learning fun and allow students to express themselves. I like to provide many creative situations for students, along with the common core curriculum. I hope you will also try to instill the creative side of learning!
